1. What is health and wellness coaching?
A health coach is there to support positive physical and mental lifestyle change, covering everything from nutrition to weight loss, workouts and physical dysfunction. Wellness advice comes into the mix on more of a lifestyle level, covering additional strategies for overall wellbeing, such as habit formation, coping methods, stress and mindset.
As a trained physiotherapist and acupuncturist, I’ve worked with everyone from elite athletes to older adults looking to get back into shape.
So whether you want to feel better about your appearance, reduce physical discomfort or simply destress, I can offer the strategies you need.

3. The benefits of wellness coaching
Physical health is the cornerstone of a happy and fulfilling life. And that’s mainly because it empowers us to do so many other things we enjoy and often take for granted. Remember when you were young and didn’t have care in the world? That’s because you were in likely in perfect physical condition, running and playing and not even thinking about your physical body, let alone being self-conscious of your appearance. Health coaching seeks to rediscover some of that youthful vitality by addressing the factors that have impacted our health. My philosophy isn’t just one of abs and beach bodies, but of transforming identities, helping clients feel fit and healthy at their core. Someone who sees themself in this way invests in their physical today for a better tomorrow. That said, the tools and strategies we employ also guarantee positive visible and experiential side effects, including the following:

4. What can you expect?
In the initial consultation, we discover what you want from health coaching, the challenges you face, along with an assessment of the daily habits and factors which may contribute to the issue. From there, we’ll co-create a roadmap, including bespoke tools and strategies that you can use to start making progress. From there, it’s all about accountability and ensuring that you’re stepping up and playing your part in the process. If we identify any subsequent obstacles, we’ll iterate and create workarounds that allow you to achieve your goals.
5. Areas we examine
A multitude of factors contribute to the overall health and wellness of a person. Therefore, we have to be holistic in our approach and ensure that you’re following best practice guidelines in all areas, while accounting for any individual needs. Here’s a sample of the areas we’ll consider:
- Sleep hygiene
- Morning routine
- Diet and nutrition
- Cardiovascular exercise
- Strength training

- Meditation and mindfulness

6. How long are the sessions?
Sessions are generally between 30 and 60 minutes depending on whether you’re a new or regular client. Some check-ins are quick calls to make sure you’re on track with your plan.

7. How frequent are the appointments?
Again, this very much depends on the individual. Some people require weekly progress calls to ensure they’re sticking to their diet, exercise or mindfulness habits. As you become better at following your plan, you might choose to space sessions out to give more time to work on your health and wellness between each appointment.
8. How long will coaching last?
Coaching can become an integral part of your life, with some clients remaining with their coaches for years. Others might simply require an initial setup and monitoring of a plan that they can follow until they start seeing improvement.
Generally, I only work with people who are willing to invest in three months of coaching. To ensure best results, there needs to be a commitment and to see positive results, this tends to be the minimum time frame. When you reach out, I’ll be in touch to ask you more questions. I only take a few clients on at a time and don’t work with everyone, so it’s important to see whether we’re a good fit before creating your custom package.
10. Online coaching and remote consultations
If you’re based in the same location as your coach, face to face might be possible. However, as is frequently the case, you connect with a coach in another part of the world. Luckily, with the wonders of modern technology, you can now enjoy online coaching and remote sessions. As such, Bloomsoup covers all areas of the UK and international clients are welcome.
Sessions can be arranged via Skype or Zoom, which allows for great flexibility and efficiency in coordinating schedules.
